General Packing Tips
Place heavy items in smaller boxes and light items in larger boxes. Total box weight should not exceed 50 lbs.
Pack breakables loosely with lots of bubble wrap. Fill any empty spaces in the box with packing paper so that can not be any shifting of the contents.
Mark your boxes (with a permanent market) by room so you and the Movers will know exactly where each box should go at your new residence.
Write "FRAGILE" in huge bold letters on boxes with breakables and keep separate from the other boxes or on top of the other boxes.
Appliances – Empty and clean all appliances, any removable parts should be packed.
Beds Tie bed frames together with tape and
label the pieces so they will be easy to reassemble, if you're responsible for the beds.
Bureaus – It's general ok to leave clothes in bureau drawers unless your mover instructs you otherwise.
